Isabel is originally from Brazil and did her bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Heidelberg University, where she is also currently doing her master’s. Her main area of interest since the bachelor had been conflict research and security studies. During this time she worked as a conflict coder with focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia and Latin America. During her master’s, however, sustainability and climate change has become a topic of great interest for her, especially after doing some supply chain sustainability and circular economy in Latin America background works with Dr. Susan T. Jackson. She plans on writing her master thesis on the links between conflict and climate change.
