Jakob has worked as a research associate at the Professorship of International Relations at Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany and a lecturer for BA and MA students. He holds a BA in European studies and an MA in international conflict analysis, and he is currently pursuing his PhD. His doctoral thesis addresses the success of humanitarian military interventions. Jakob has gained work experience at the KfW Development Bank, the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, and the European Union Delegation to the United Nations in New York, and he combines both academic and practical perspectives in his fields of interest. Jakob has worked in Cambodia, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Germany.
